Things I do in China that I did not do in the States
-I work full-time
-I get to work out every day
-I see my husband more
-I see my children less (they are always outside)
-I walk everywhere
- I don’t drive (I don’t have a death wish)
-I get my mail from a guard
-I watch less T.V.
-I watch the “New” Pink Panther Show (Isn’t it 30 years old)
-I read more
-I carry cash
-My toilets are cleaned everyday (and not by me)
-My classroom smells stinky (but I am use to it, just say bad pipes)
-I don’t drink from the faucet
-My classroom gets dusted, swept, white board cleaned, twice a day
-My bed is made every day (and NOT by me)
-I eat way healthier
-I wash all my fruits and veggies
-I carry all my food home from the market
-I have to call someone to get a ride
-I don’t have to pump gas
-I CAN hear my neighbors
-I have less stuff
-My students come to my house to play
-I don’t eat at Bajio’s ( We do enjoy the once a month Mexican buffet)
-I wear the same clothes over and over again
-It takes less time to get ready in the morning
-I eat less, but my children eat more
-I see my family more
-I say hello more in public (just to keep them from starring at me)
-I don’t shop at Thrift stores
-I can get tailored made clothes for $10 a garment
-I play a lot more charades (my mandarin is no good)
-I plug my nose a lot more
-I see our Dr. on a daily bases (But I am not always sick, He lives here)
-I spent $9.00 on Chocolate Chips (I got a new tailor pair of pants for that price)
-I drink milk that does not need to be refrigerated
-I eat lunch with my children everyday
-I hear fireworks daily!!!
